When Mood Has a
Physical Root
Hormone imbalances, thyroid issues, and other physical factors can look a lot like anxiety, depression, or fatigue. Balanced health testing helps rule those out, or address them directly, alongside your mental health care. Fatigue that won’t lift, mood swings that don’t track with anything going on in your life, or weight changes that don’t add up can all be worth a closer look.
This isn’t about replacing psychiatric care with lab work. It’s about making sure nothing physical is being missed or mistaken for something purely psychiatric, so your treatment plan is built on the full picture, not just half of it.
What Testing Looks At
What We’re
Looking For
Depending on your symptoms, testing may look at thyroid function, hormone levels, and other markers that can affect mood, energy, sleep, and focus. We don’t run every test on everyone. Your provider decides what’s relevant based on what you’re actually experiencing.
Your provider reviews results with you directly and factors them into your overall treatment plan, so mental and physical health are addressed together instead of separately. If something physical is contributing to how you feel, you’ll know, and your plan will reflect it.
