Shelley is a licensed psychologist in Minnesota, with a PhD in clinical psychology and 25+ years of experience working with forensic populations. Over the course of her career, she has provided individual and group services for adolescent and adult populations via in- and out-patient settings; adult civil commitment programs; state and federal prisons; and has served in roles requiring interfacing with probation/parole and the courts.

Shelley is adept at providing services to persons with a wide variety of mental health concerns, dual diagnoses and co-occurring disorders, personality and interpersonal concerns, as well as those experiencing protracted disabling conditions or terminal illness, grief, loss, and bereavement.

She believes the therapeutic alliance is key to creating a safe and nonjudgmental space from which to heal forward. Shelley strives to create a holistic, collaborative, person-centered approach to your identified areas of concern and incorporates varied best practices modalities, to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Positive and Transpersonal Psychology approaches to self.
