Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Feel More Like Yourself
Trauma changes how your body and mind respond to the world, sometimes long after the event itself is over. PTSD can show up as flashbacks, hypervigilance, avoidance, or a nervous system that’s stuck in “on.” For some clients it traces back to one clear event. For others, it’s the buildup of complex trauma over years, and the connection isn’t always obvious right away.
Every provider at Modern MOjO approaches care through a trauma-informed lens, whether or not PTSD is the primary reason you’re here. That means we pay attention to how trauma might be showing up even when it’s not the headline, and we never ask you to explain more than you’re ready to.
Our Approach
Healing at Your Own Pace
For clients specifically navigating PTSD or complex trauma, we combine individual therapy with medication management when it’s helpful, always moving at a pace you’re part of setting. Some clients want to dig into the past. Others need support managing symptoms in the present first, and that’s just as valid a starting point.
You won’t be asked to relive your trauma before you’re ready. Our goal is a space that feels safe first, and clinical second. Trust builds over time, and we’d rather move slowly with you than rush a process that isn’t yours to rush.
